Biology Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Udayana University (Unud) Introduces the World of Science through a Campus Visit from Sekolah Cendekia Harapan
JIMBARAN – Biology,
Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Udayana University,
welcomed an educational Campus Visit from Sekolah Cendekia Harapan on Thursday,
June 4, 2026. The visit involved 37 students from Grades 7–12 accompanied by
five teachers. The activity aimed to provide participants with a closer look at
the academic environment, learning facilities, and various activities carried
out within the Biology Study Program of FMIPA Udayana University.
The program began with a
presentation introducing the Biology Study Program, providing participants with
an overview of its academic curriculum, and various academic development
opportunities available to students. Through this session, participants gained
insights into higher education and the role of the Biology Study Program in
advancing scientific knowledge.
Exploring Biology Facilities
and Academic Disciplines Firsthand
One of the main highlights of the
Campus Visit was a tour of eight laboratories within the Biology Study Program.
During each laboratory visit, participants received direct explanations from
faculty members regarding the functions of the laboratories, practical learning
activities, and the various academic activities conducted in each facility.
Guided by the lecturers, students
had the opportunity to interact directly, ask questions, and gain a deeper
understanding of the facilities and activities that support the learning
process within the Biology Study Program. The visit also provided participants
with valuable firsthand experience of the academic atmosphere in a higher
education institution.
Inspiring Young Minds to
Explore Science
Participants showed great
enthusiasm throughout the event. Students actively asked questions and
demonstrated strong interest in the facilities and academic activities
introduced during the visit. Direct interaction with the campus environment
enabled them to gain a more realistic understanding of academic life at a
university.
Through this Campus Visit, the
Biology Study Program of FMIPA Udayana University hopes to broaden
participants’ perspectives on higher education while introducing various
opportunities for personal and academic development in the field of science.
The activity is also expected to foster interest and motivation among young
people to pursue higher education and contribute to the advancement of
scientific knowledge, particularly in biology.
As part of its commitment to supporting education and human resource development, the Biology Study Program of FMIPA Udayana University continues to build collaborations with educational institutions to introduce science and higher education to younger generations from an early age.
