Celebrating the Peak of Its 41st Anniversary, Biology FMIPA UNUD Strengthens Solidarity and the Spirit of Sustainability
DENPASAR - The Biology Conservation agenda, held in conjunction with the
41st anniversary of the Biology Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and
Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Udayana University (UNUD), reached its peak on
Friday, May 29, 2026. Taking place at the Lecture Building Hall of Udayana
University, Jimbaran, the event served as a space for appreciation, reflection,
and the strengthening of bonds within the extended Biology family after 41
years of growth and achievement.
This peak celebration marked the final part of the KONSERVASI BIOLOGI
KE-41 series, which had previously begun with a community service activity
through mangrove planting at the Batu Lumbang Mangrove Ecotourism Area. The
Biology Student Association (HIMABIO) of the Biology Study Program, FMIPA UNUD,
served as the main organizer of this annual event, bringing together the values
of conservation, community service, and academic solidarity.
Carrying the theme “Nurturing What Has Grown and Moving Forward,” the
event reflected the commitment of the Biology academic community of FMIPA UNUD
to preserve the values, spirit, and the environment that have been cultivated
over the years. The theme also represented a shared spirit to continue moving
toward a future that is more adaptive, sustainable, and meaningful for both
society and the environment.
The program was officially opened with remarks from the Coordinator of
the Biology Study Program, Prof. Dra. Luh Putu Eswaryanti Kusuma Yuni, M.Sc.,
Ph.D., followed by remarks from the Dean of FMIPA, Prof. Dra. Ni Luh
Watiniasih, M.Sc., Ph.D., who formally opened the event.

presence of leaders from different academic levels further emphasized that the
journey of Biology FMIPA UNUD has been built through synergy and collective
support.
The tumpeng-cutting ceremony and group photo session became symbols of
gratitude for the Biology Study Program’s journey of more than four decades.
The event also provided an opportunity to reflect on the contributions of
Biology FMIPA UNUD in education, research, community service, and environmental
awareness.
High Enthusiasm in Celebration and Appreciation
The celebration was enlivened by various creative performances from
lecturers and student representatives from the 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025
cohorts. Each performance reflected active participation in creating a warm,
lively, and spirited atmosphere of togetherness.
The program also featured vocal solo performances, dance covers, games,
and a flash mob involving lecturers, alumni, and students. The enthusiasm of
participants was evident throughout the event, showing that the peak
celebration of the 41st Biology Anniversary served as both a festive occasion and
a mean to strengthen a sense of belonging to the study program.
Hope for a Sustainable Future
Through the peak celebration of its 41st anniversary, the Biology Study
Program of FMIPA UNUD once again affirmed its role as both a center of
scientific learning and a nurturing space for academic generations who care
about the environment, society, and the future of society.
This celebration is expected to serve as a momentum to strengthen familial bonds, enhance social and ecological awareness, and preserve the positive values that have grown over the years. In the spirit of “Nurturing What Has Grown and Moving Forward,” Biology FMIPA UNUD is expected to continue developing adaptively and sustainably while making meaningful contributions to science, society, and the preservation of the Earth.
