Expanding Academic Horizons: Biology FMIPA Unud Strengthens Partnership with FMIPA Unsrat

MANADO – In a move to broaden its academic network, nine faculty members from the Biology Study Program, FMIPA Udayana University (Unud), conducted an official visit to the Biology Study Program, FMIPA Sam Ratulangi University (Unsrat), on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.

 

The delegation was warmly received by the leadership of FMIPA Unsrat, including the Dean, Vice Deans, Head of Department, and Program Coordinators. The team from Udayana University included:

This visit serves as a formal implementation of the cooperation agreement between FMIPA Unud and FMIPA Unsrat. Both institutions are committed to enhancing synergy through strategic initiatives, including research collaboration, joint scientific publications, the Independent Student Exchange program (PMM MBKM), guest lectures, and lecturer exchanges.

 

A highlight of the visit was a guest lecture delivered by Prof. Dr. Sang Ketut Sudirga, S.Si., M.Si., titled "Ficusida: A Botanical Fungicide from Ficus septica Leaf Extract to Control Anthracnose Disease in Plants." The presentation showcased innovative biological solutions and drew significant interest from over 60 participants, including Unirat faculty members and students.

 

This partnership is expected to foster mutual growth between the two biology departments, contributing to the advancement of science and the sustainable management of Indonesia’s biological resources.
