MONITORING of BALI MYNA (Leucopsar rothschildi) AT TENGKUDAK VILLAGE RELEASE, TABANAN (23 MAY 2024)

The  BSC Curik Udayana Team, HIMABIO, FNPF and the Tengkudak Village Community carried out monitoring of Bali Myna (Leucopsar rothschildi) in the Tengkudak Village Release in Tabanan, Bali. Monitoring was carried out at 10 release points on May 23 2024. The release was carried out a month earlier, namely April 22 2024. This release was initiated by the Friend National Park Foundation (FNPF) and supported by the Tingkih Kerep Tengkudak Tabanan Traditional Village Community, as well as volunteers from Himabio FMIPA Udayana. During this monitoring, staff from Biology FMIPA Unud, FNPF (Friend National Park Foundation) staff and several veterinary students were also present. During the monitoring, observations were made of Bali Myna activities in the release habitat, the use of vegetation in the habitat, and other avifauna (birds) that interacted with Bali Myna were also observed. During this monitoring, almost all Bali Myna  were observed not far from the release point (pre-release cage).
